Firefighter Evaluated After Battling Overnight Blaze In Northwest DC

One firefighter had to be evaluated in Northwest DC overnight after battling a blaze that broke out in a three-story development.

At around midnight, DC Fire and EMS personnel were called to the 3200 block of M Street NW, when there was a fire reported in the utility closet of a mixed-use building that spread to the attic area.

A crew consisting of dozen of firefighters were able to knock down the flames, though one had to be evaluated after it was extinguished. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
